This is a static webpage. The server sends you an html file with embedded javascript, with no modifications. Right click and "View page source" will allow you to see the file as it was stored on the server. Next we move on to a cgi program, in which Python on the server will embed appropriate time codes in the URLs for the images, as requested by the client.
